Putting the precision of medical device manufacturing into graphics
Biomerics is a medical device manufacturer located in the International Center just West of the Salt Lake International Airport. Additionally, Biomerics has 7 other locations across the United States. Vision Graphics recently started providing Biomerics with graphic solutions, and their relationship started much differently than the norm.
Ryan Cox, a sales consultant at Vision Graphics, was sitting in his office when his future client walked in the door. He mentioned that Biomerics was building a new facility and was interested in creating a history wall/timeline of their business. Cox proposed a few different materials which would work for the application, as well as which materials would be most cost effective.
The history wall progressed and eventually turned into a technical, and dimensional masterpiece. Located in the lobby of the new Salt Lake City plant, the graphic stood 40 feet long by 9 feet tall. The entire graphic was multilayered and required a detailed application performed by Vision’s installation team. According to Cox, “The history wall is a multi-layered wall, first it has a textile wall covering. It has 5-6 offset acrylic panels with their history printed. There’s a second surface with photographs and all sorts of stuff. There’s also a middle layer of EPVC between those acrylic panels and the wall covering which gives it a little more dimension. The customer loved it!”
As the history wall was completed, the client started to send more ideas to Vision Graphics to bring to life. The next project that ensued was to create gallery wraps for all of their conference rooms. The theme was Utah National Parks, and to name a couple specifically, Capitol Reef and Zion. The graphic designers at Vision were able to create a cut graphic that the customer loved. In one of the conference rooms, the designers took one image and stretched it across five different walls.
Not only was Vision Graphics able to create custom wall coverings throughout the entire facility, but they provided a variety of other graphic services as well. They printed names signs for all employee offices and cubicles, room signs, and even logo stickers for their equipment cranes. Vision’s vast product portfolio proved to be an effective source for all thing’s graphics within the Biomerics facility.
Cox has since connected with his contact at Biomerics and offered this statement. “My contact there has told me a couple times now that he’s going to rely on us pretty much solely for signage needs. Not only locally but for their other locations because of our responsiveness.”
